Our main store is located in the Shimogamo area of Kyoto Rakuhoku, a place surrounded by nature and blessed with abundant fresh water that runs down from the northern mountains to the Kamo and Takano Rivers.
The Hosen Kyoto Station store has a quiet and relaxing atmosphere capturing the essence of traditional Kyoto Shitsurai. You can't imagine you're inside the Shinkansen ticket gates!
Shitsurai refers to decorating a room's interiors in a traditional Japanese way depending on the occasion or season. It is a sign of hospitality in Japanese culture.
We think there is nothing more important than good ingredients, so we visit the Tamba region every year and carefully select the finest red and black beans produced in the area.
In addition, based on the belief that "what customers eat should be delicious, but also safe", we don't use food preservatives.
We put our heart into making delicious confectionery everyday!

The Aoi Matsuri (Aoi festival) is the oldest festival in Japan with a long history of over 1000 years. It is held on 15th May every year when the greenery of spring is at its most beautiful in Japan.
Looking just like a dynastic scroll painting, a procession of more than 500 people makes its way to Shimogamo and Kamigamo shrines.
Everyone involved in the festival adorns their head or clothing with some Aoi and Katsura leaves.
That's why the Kamo Festival is called ""Aoi Matsuri"".
""Kamoaoi"" is a Kyoto-style confectionery made using the finest Tamba Dainagon Azuki beans shaped into Aoi leaves.
"Kamo Guro / Kamo Guri (limited time offer)"
1 piece for 240 yen / 300 yen
Upstream of the Kamo River in Kyoto, there are beautiful black stones called ""Kamoguro"".
Our ""Kamoguro"" confectionary is made in the image of one of those beautiful stones.
Sweet bean paste is enveloped in Yokan (sweet bean jelly) and splinkled with Wasanbon (a type of sugar).
""Kamoguri"" is a confectionery made by enclosing a richly-flavored cooked chestnut in Yokan and sprinkling it with Wasanbon.
