Eirakuya was established in the year 1615 from the recognization of Oda Nobunaga. During his reign, he granted us the names for our company, ”Eirakuya,” which became the name of the founder and his successors.
Eirakuya is the oldest cotton/cloth company, specializing in tenugui and furoshiki, based in Kyoto Japan and has been in business for 400 years. Our 14th generation successor, Ihei Hosotsuji, will keep our traditions and lifestyle alive and pure in the years to come.
