Since its founding in 1887, Yubasho has been committed to making the best "Yuba" (tofu skin) using innovative techniques and the finest ingredients. We were the first to introduce "fresh yuba", while the rest of the industry focused only on dried yuba. We were also the first to devise a "yuba kettle" that has since become common in the manufacture of yuba. Our Yuba is only made from carefully-selected domestic soybeans and groundwater.

Using carefully selected domestic soybeans and groundwater, our Yuba (bean curd skin) is carefully made by skilled craftsmen.
Please enjoy its soybean taste, aroma, and texture.
Cut it into suitable sizes and eat it uncooked with salty sauce or ponzu sauce, just like sashimi! It can also be served with wasabi or ginger.
Our yuba also goes well with various cooked (simmered) meals such as nabe (hot pot), soup and tempura, etc.

Yuba (bean curd skin) has a mellow, delicate texture, so craftsmen use chopsticks to only scoop up its very thin top layer or film when gathering it from the kiln.
Enjoy it cold with wasabi or ginger soy sauce during the summer.
In winter, warm it up in the microwave. When adding it to soup, be sure to add kudzu or potato-starch stock to give the soup a thick consistency. Add wasabi and ginger to your liking.
Comes with Yubasho's special dashi soy sauce.

It is an elegant dish that is typical of Kyoto and is made using high-quality dried yuba, carefully-selected Japanese pepper, dried shiitake mushrooms, and chirimen-jako with soup stock.

Yuba Somen Noodle

Please enjoy it with a Kyoto-style soup stock that does not use chemical seasonings.
This hand-rolled somen is made from 100% domestic wheat.
It comes with plenty of Yuba (bean curd skin) unique to Yubasho, Temari Fu, Kujo green onion and Kyoto Shichimi (a Japanese spicy seasoning).
Simply boil the soup stock in water and then pour it into a bowl filled with the above-mentioned ingredients. It is a product that will last for a long time at room temperature. We also offer a boxed two-meal set.
